Getting prepared for your busy season.

Warner weather now….means cold weather is not too far behind. Take some time to be part of the Fall Annual Meeting which takes place September 25-26, 2018 at the Holiday Inn., Martinsburg, WV

    The program will include these key areas:
  • Safety Issues Potpourri Dennis Cruise, Propane Training Services, will give us an update of key safety and regulatory challenges you had best be aware. From the OSHA Crane Rule, training documentation, unvented heaters and cold weather safety tips, Dennis will give you the latest to keep your business in compliance.
  • Bullish or Bearish on Propane? NPGA Chairman Chris Earhart will be giving a 360 degree view of what the political and legislative situation is for propane in Washington DC and around the country. He will explore a variety of programs that NPGA is conducting to strengthen opportunities for propane.
  • Finding New Employees. Workforce Development has moved to the forefront as one of the most important challenges facing marketers especially developing new workers among Gen Xers and Millennials. Tom Osina, WVPGA Executive Director will review current and proposed plans under discussion by PERC Workforce Development Task Force of which he is member.
  • Changing of the Guard. The Annual Meeting will feature the election of a new set of officers and directors for a 2 year term. A list of those nominated and how you can run may be found on page 2.

Early arrivals are invited to get together for a dutch treat group dinner in the hotel restaurant at 6:30 on Tuesday, September 25th. Golfers will enjoy playing Tuesday morning at 10 am at Locust Hill Golf Course, 278 St Andrews Drive, Charles Town, WV 25414, (304) 728-7300.

The deadline for reserving a room is Tuesday, September 4, 2018 though it is likely that rooms will be gone before then so RESERVE EARLY.

Any member in good standing (dues paid for 2018) may run for an officer or director position by submitting a written nomination signed by a minimum of 10 other members in good standing to the WVPGA Office no later than August 26, 2018. If such application(s) is/are received, the name(s) shall be added to list of nominees for voting by the membership. A ballot will be provided to all members in good standing and must be returned no later than 5 days to the WVPGA Office before the Annual Meeting scheduled to be held on September 26, 2018. Ballots received will be counted and the results announced to the Association at the Annual Meeting. The new Board shall take office at the closing session of the Annual Meeting.
